Federal Government cuts should be across the board

I don't understand how the Senate can get a pay raise while the rest of us are looking at pay cuts. Even the most junior legislator makes considerably more than I, so why is my life less important. If those of us on the bottom of the charts should "suck it up" and take a cut for the good of the country, why shouldn't Senators and Congressmen, the President, and Department Heads? Transparency

Every dollar should be scuntized. We have General Operating Funds that we use for paying rent, electricity, copier fees, paper, pens, travel and training, etc.
My idea is the use of these funds should be transparent. In my office, I have required that our travel and training uses be shared with everyone in the office. In the past, staff felt some employees were getting more access to these limited funds than others.... more »

This is not a new social issue. Generations have had stable, non-traditional living arrangements.
