The Department of Defense publishes numerous outstanding professional journals and law reviews. Nearly all of these are published in bound volumes, as well as posted online on publicly available websites in their entirety. Why not eliminate the bound volumes and transition to electronic-only publication?
Paper copies of Journals such as "U. S. Medicine" and "Federal Practitioner" are automatically distributed to all physicians employed by the government. Making these Journals available online instead of mailing paper copies could save a lot money. I suspect that a lot of physicians may not even read these journals. I believe that a lot of these journals go directly to the recycle bin or trash.
