Right now one gets paper copies of drug info when they get their prescription refilled. Paper copies should be provided on all NEW prescriptions, but NOT on every refill issued. This would save a lot of paper and cut costs!
On all new prescriptions, pharmacy should ask if you want URL for electronic drug info or paper copy for those who don't have access to computer or who desire paper copy. Gov should create electronic data base of drug info that they now give patients in paper copy form. Most patients will choose electronic form and $Millions of dollars in paper cost will be saved annually.
If government dispensed drugs for individuals on government assistance programs, we could get a better price. The current system allows for decent profits for local pharmacies at the expense of the taxpayer.
Drugs are cheaper in Mexico, Canada, and most of the world. Many medical procedures are 10% of the cost in the USA. How can this be?
I suggest Medicare or Congress investigate the real value of the drugs and procedures. We should only pay fair market value.
What to do?
Allow caining as an option for crimes. Let a person recieve 10 lashes rather than 10 years for example for certain crimes. This would save half a million dollars, for just one prisoner.

It is a national embarassment that our "best" athletes are unable to compete internationally. By making our leagues sumbit to international testing it would remove questions about a product we export for billions of dollars a year. It would also spare us future congressional inquiries.
