PHASE OUT WELFARE SAVE TRILLIONS ON CRIME AND DRUGS

CANCEL and phase out Welfare and section 8 and food stamps and welfare benefits and low income housing for able bodied working age citizens. The triilions of dollars of welfare money have created a section of society that does not contribute to society and that drains the taxpayers and does not produce tax income for the US GOVERNMENT and holds its customers in social and finance bondage. Please phase out the progams... more »

Homeless Empowerment Centers

With the rise of unemployment and thousands of Americans living on the streets, I think the government could save costs by creating a program very similar to the CCC (Circa 1933-1944) that will use existing housing areas and create large centers whose sole purpose is to give homeless Americans of all ages a place to sleep, eat, learn and work. The centers will provide food, water, housing and medical care to help get... more »

Enact Confict of Interest Laws for Medical Practioners

Federal employees are barred from investing in stocks, etc. where they have even the appearance of a conflict. Congress should enact similar laws for medical practitioners. They should be barred (legally) from accepting benefits from Pharmaceutical companies that may influence their prescribing practices. Many physicians are likely to prescribe high cost new drugs because of compensation from the drug industry. The high... more »

Legalize all Drugs

This alone would end our budget crisis. The people that are using them use them already anyway illegally. Police could focus there time on more serious issues like murders and child molestors. I never have used drugs and still wouldn't if they were legal and I think a lot of people feel the way I do. Why shouldn't we legalize them tax them and the government makes money instead of these huge drug cartels all over... more »

Reduce Prison Population

Putting people in prison is expensive. The US has more people in prison, by far that almost every other nation, yet for this investment, we don't have particularly low crime rates.

What to do?

Allow caining as an option for crimes. Let a person recieve 10 lashes rather than 10 years for example for certain crimes. This would save half a million dollars, for just one prisoner.

Idea #2

I don't take illegal drugs because... more »

End Prohibition on Drugs

We have naval ships cutting holes in the Caribbean ocean rights now looking for drug smugglers! I cannot even begin to fathom the cost it takes just to get one of these ships off the pier, cost of the vessel, fuel, paying the crew, training the crew, maintaining the ship, not to mention the risk involved with operating said ship. Our Navy should wage war, not chase drug smugglers. I use this as an example, there are dozens... more »

Save BIG on Medicaid, Medicare, and FEHB Drug Costs

Why are pharmacies labeling medications with their own expiration dates for prescription medications rather than using the expiration dates set by the manufacturer? Not standardizing the expiration dates increases the risk of setting expiration dates that are before or after the manufacturers. I have personally seen many instances where pharmacy's expiration dates are six months to a year BEFORE the manufacturer's expiration... more »
