Training via Distance Learning
Arrange for all National Training Center (NTC) courses and other courses of interest to DOE employees and contractors such as those offered by universities, national labs, DOE sites, etc. to be available through distance learning. That will save travel costs and ensure that employees still have access to the training they need to perform their jobs safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Increase use of Distance Learning
Under no circumstance, should a servicemember or government employee be sent across the country or overseas to watch power point presentations and hear a lecture. There is a huge opportunity for cost savings in this area. Class room instruction should be done at a distance when feasible. Heavy justification should be needed to send personnel to training. Travel costs will be saved.
