Congress, budget, debt ceiling, anonymous dialog via a SAVE like

Maybe by using a SAVE like process, Congress and the President can come to terms on a budget and work out the details of a debt ceiling negotiation in a timely manner. After all, there is advantage in not allowing anyone to have a dislike button. It forces dialog by making one write their own thoughts here and maybe start meaningful dialog. Emergency Measures to Eliminate the Need to Increase Debt Ce

Immediately authorize the obligation and expenditure of expired appropriations to cover current year requirements. Provide unconstrained reprogramming authority within expired appropriations. Convert all appropriations to one year appropriations. Require services and agencies to track use of expired funds and decrease the subsequent year’s budget submit by the expired funding utilized in the current year.

Please have the parties stop playing political chicken with each other on such important issues such as the debt ceiling and the budget. Keep the Lights on Budgets

This year was the first year our managers came to us and said “during these tough economic times, we need to reduce our budgets to only “keep the lights on” type of expenses. This mean that no new work would be funded, that we did minimally what we needed to do to just maintain.
