pay off your debt

make a plan on how to pay off the debt and not how to raise the debt ceiling!
Tighten you belt for a few years and avoid additional spendings on interest for the future.
How can we give aid to countries when we don't have money? How can we build... if there are no funds.
Get it done, pay it now and learn for the future!

Encourage using Optional Leave Without Pay

Government employees who accrue less amount of leave (such as 4 hours per pay period) would welcome an optional furlough during slow quiet season such as Christmas Holiday or Summer Vacation, to be able to take an optional leave without pay, as an option to be able to spend time with family. We should encourage supervisors and managers to make this type of leave available to their staff, and advise them that there should... more »

Combine Online Systems (Websites) Used by Federal Employees

We use over 10 separate online systems to take care of daily administrative tasks, and I believe that we should combine them all into one website, similar to how Google lets you switch between e-mail, calendar, documents, photos, etc. with a simple mouse click.

Combining all these systems into one system and hosting it on a centralized server would take advantage of economies of scale, greatly reducing the electricity,... more »

TDY's are meant for gaining knowledge or valuable training, instead they are treated as a free vacation. Enforce civilians to lodge on base and reduce all to the Govt meal rate. Allow civilians to eat at the dining facility as long as they have their orders. Increase the govt meal rate and incidentals by a... more »

Change from 26 to 12 Pay Periods per year for Civilian Employees

Reduce the administrative cost of processing Time and Attendance as well as Payroll by more than half simply by doing it 12 times per year (monthly) rather than 26 times per year (biweekly).
Each Agency (or large component thereof) would be assigned a Payday (i.e., the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Thursday of the month), in which all employees of that Agency (or large component) would be paid. The assignment of Paydays would... more »

Adjust Border Patrol Agent Work Hours !!!

Instead of agents working 5 days a week for 10 hours per day, agents should work 4 days a week for 12 hours. That saves the government 2 hours a week per agent in the border patol. That is a savings of millions of dollars a month. Border Patrol agents will gladly sacrafice two hours of pay a week if that means they have an extra day to spend with their family and friends. Thank You

Congressional Pay Disincentives

Congress should be held accountable for their inability to perform their duty. If the government shuts down, they should not be paid. If they reduce government pensions, congressional pensions should be reduced as well. Their actions should carry requisite consequences for their responsibilities.
