iPAD/ Kindle/ Nook vs Paper

As the world progresses so must the federal government. Purchasing data pads to replace paper (ones you can write and have download/ upload into your computer) would save hundreds of millions of dollars in paper and printing costs.

Security concerns can be addressed easily with the installation of certain features to track and maintain file integrity from outside intrusion. The specifics for that innovation are already installed in the commercial versions of the reading pads we all use. If this is only applied to FOUO and below data then the savings would still be astronomical versus the initial investment and training for federal employees.

A 100$ data pad for every 5 employees to start would get the inertia of converting to a paperless government faster than any other incentive. You know that once someone sees how convenient and cool something is they will want it too.
