Volunteerism
All time spent by employees performing work-related activities that employers suffer or permit is work time, whether on premises or not and whether required or not -- according to the ruling of Permit to Suffer. This ruling should be relaxed so that an employee has the freedom to volunteer services to benefit the government and taxpayers in a variety of ways including driving without reimbursement.
