It appears that inadequate management (too many mgrs., absence of management in the work areas, unqualified mgrs., abusive mgrs., the DILBERT syndrome managers, etc.) is at the root of all government agencies in general. Responsibility, expertise, accountability, loyalty (REAL) are traits lacking from Washington to the bottom of the GS scale. Where would we, the people, be if we did as our leaders and representatives and just went on spending and borrowing to make ends meet while making no effort to cut back on frivolous spending. Reduce number of managers, demand accountability, reduce subsidies, and mandate spending cuts in all government agences.
