Provide Claim Submission/Instruction, Increase Productivity

We need to teach veterans that the VA pays only claims issued by the vendors. Countless hours are invested daily, reviewing veteran statements they have mailed or hand delivered to the VA. Rather than returning these statements to the veterans and phoning the vendors for invoices addressed to the VA, we need to instruct the veterans at the point of orientation, create a brief television ad, or mail fliers stating the simple procedure requirements for submitting medical claims. This will save hours for our Check-In Clerks, eliminate Mailroom sorting, stop additional Claims Clerk research and eliminate printing form letters and the cost of countless envelopes, postage and making millions of telephone calls on behalf of Veterans, nationwide. The time saved will enable us, within the VA, to be able to assist our Veterans more efficiently.
