Provide $50 Subsidy For Employees Using Personal Smartphones/Tab

Provide a $50 per month subsidy for employees choosing to use their personal smartphone in lieu of a government provided device. The employee will be responsible for purchasing the device, for maintaining the device, and for paying for all service charges associated with device use.

The government would pay the employee a flat $50 per month allowance to use their personal smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer and would then not have to provide a similar device to the employee to use in their official work capacity.

This could save the government as much as $1500 per year per employee per device, eliminate requirements to track and control government owned mobile device property, improve the quality of the mobile device experience for employees, and reduce the cost of providing IT services to the Agency.
