One Name Only Policy

Many individuals enter the United States and use various versions of their name. This is very costly to research names to ensure that there is no derogatory information on

each individual. Some individuals have over twenty (20) different versions of their name. Using various names can also cause identity and fraud issues when someone applies for benefits using various versions of their name. Also, this can assist an individual to bypass the laws of the United States in criminal cases. Whatever name is on an individual's birth certificate should be the name used on offical documents unless there is a legal name change by marriage or civil court to change their name. Once this one name is established, that is the only name that should be accepted for official business.
