My name is Weishi Yu, a Chinese guy. I have been U.S for 4 months, and I work in Frederick-NCI. During these months, I found much energy was wasting for air conditioner. It was too warm inside of the building in winter, and it was too cold in the summer. It makes most of people uncomfortable, so I think we can save much energy for this, and the suggestion as below: During the summer months, air conditioning systems in public buildings should be set no lower than 26C (79F). In winter, the public building should be set no higher than 21C (70F), with hospitals being the only exception. Most importantly, the goverment should arrange somebody to check from time to time.
I hope my suggestion is helpful for reducing energy consumption
