Limit Qui Tam rewards Feds Employees

Recently federal employees have been permitted to receive benefits where they provided data obtained during the course of employment to others, e.g. NGOs, Public interest groups, watchdog groups to support qui tam actions. As public servants, they are stewards of the public purse and should provide information to government investigative bodies without the inducement of potentially millions of dollars in income. Therefore, Congress should close the loophole that permits employees to withhold this information from federal managers and oversight entities (IGs, DOJ ) yet use it where there will be personal gain.
