Irrelevant emails sent to all NIH staff

Several emails regarding scientific medical research conferences, lectures, meetings, etc. are sent daily to all 30,000 NIH staff regardless of whether they are scientists, IT professionals, or administrators. While a few of these emails may occasionally be of interest to non-scientists, it would be helpful to allow staff to choose whether they want to receive science-related emails or not. We also receive invitations to HHS events being held at the Humphrey Building in DC, sometimes only a few hours prior to the event or late the night before. It would take most NIH employees over an hour just to get there since most of us work in Bethesda.
