Increase Printing Accountability Measures

In the private sector, it was common to require employees to enter employee codes and/or project codes to use printers and copiers. The Volpe Center (and DOT HQ, to my knowledge) does not have similar requirements. Thus, despite efforts to “green” the office, printing waste is common. Adding a “code” requirement to printing would help improve accountability – not only to require individuals to think twice about our printing, but also to allow us to allocate printing costs properly and appropriately. This change has the potential to reduce print costs over time because it will be easier to control and/or reduce printing. IDEA ORIGINALLY SUBMITTED BY JESSICA HECTOR, RITA, DOT
