How to save time and paper

Due to the large amount of documents faxed to Social Security every day by Third Party representatives, I suggest that Third Party representatives use the data encrypted method that congressional representatives currently use to send SSA requests. Third Party representatives would be able to fax documents to SSA, but SSA would receive it in an email format and could then distribute the email to the correct person in the office. This would drastically reduce the amount of paper used in the fax machines as well as cut down the multiple copies of documents received in the office.

We receive hundreds of pages of faxed material in our field office each day. Many times, we receive three to four copies of the same request. This is a huge waste of time sorting though the paperwork. This method of receiving an email will eliminate wasted time and paper, cutting down on lost paperwork as well.
