It would be a benefit if there was an option to renew FMLA for life long conditions that would not require the entire FMLA process to be repeated each year. It seems it would be more cost effective if the process was streamlined to include a simple renewal process for the continuation of the FMLA benefit for life-long illnesses. This could also be a monetary savings for employees as most health care providers now charge a fee for completing FMLA papers for patients. A renewal form would be more efficient than processing an entire FMLA package each year for the same health issue.
