FIRE LAZY before Reduction in Force (RIF)

If you’re going to reduce the FORCE make sure you get rid of the right ones (lazy) first. Doing more with less with less productive people just does not make any common sense. I’m talking both civilians and military. Start with ranking all those annual reports/people and get rid of the low performance. We spend millions of man-hours creating these annual reports on performance but never use them when we get rid workers. Instead we make decisions based on timelines (the easy way) to get rid of people (EXAMPLE- change high-year-tenure, first in first out, anyone hired between this time must go, didn’t make rank fast enough, etc…). If we get rid of lazy first it will help those left behind to do all the work and most important gives the tax payers (true bosses) the best work force.
