All of CBP new locations require emergency generators. These generators cost $40,000 - $350,000 depending on the size of KW. Instead of installing these generators at most federal facilities, the government can look at requiring the power distribution unit or panel with a switch to be installed in the building. In case of a power outage an emergency generator can be leased and delivered at the site and plugged into the power distribution panel and the switch can then be engage. This would save millions of dollars on generators and maintenance contracts for these generators.
