When two parents are receiving disability benefits or one parent is disabled and the another one deceased, the law establishes that sometimes you may combine the family maximum of both records so that the children receive higher benefits that wouldn't be possible otherwise. This involves assigning higher benefits to all the children, including those who are not the sons or daughters of both number holders. It also creates confusion and overpayments when retroactive payments are involved. I propose that each child receives the higher benefits possible of one of the two parents only and not to combine the family maximums.
