As I was driving home from work I passed one of the Commissioners. He was relaxing in the back seat of the car and he had a driver fighting the traffic for him.
Do the Commissioners and other Senior Executives REALLY need someone to drive them around? At the office they have reserved parking and meetings attended at hotels have valet parking. It's not like they have to park far away and walk.
Federal workers have had to forego raises. I don't think it's too much to ask to have the Commissioners and other Senior Executives give up their personal drivers. After all, we are all in this together.
