Crowdsourcing for Problem Solving - Credit towards Employment

Allow federal agencies to post online at a centralized, easily accessible website any particular issues and problems for which their researchers or scientists have not been able to develop a complete or feasible answer. This would then enable the power of the "crowd" to come up with even more imaginative or efficient solutions. If an agency can then decide that someone has come up with a winning or most accurate answer to the problem, the agency would award and the individual would be able to claim "points" on any subsequent application for federal employment, similar to those awarded to veterans. This could then give that individual a potential advantage in the job selection process. The government would get the benefit of the brain power and hard work without incurring any additional costs, while it will give bragging rights and potential employment help to the individuals who come up with the winning solutions.
