Consolidating Redundant Activities at NSF, NASA and NOAA

Consolidating redundant overlapping activities conducted by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) into fewer focused activities would reduce the resources expended to achieve results. All three organizations fund or conduct similar research and operations such as climate research, amongst others. The respective budgets for 2011, NASA ~$17.5B, NSF ~$7.5B and NOAA $5.5B represent an opportunity to consolidate for cost savings. More efficient reduce the overlap.
