Two weeks ago I sent a Center-wide email recommending individuals not involved in information technology, cancel their GSN (Government Security News) print magazine subscription (a gov’t IT-related publication) by calling the Subscription Office's phone number which was buried in the back of the magazine. If hundreds or thousands of FDA or HHS or US gov't-wide employees cancel these oftentimes mis-targeted publications, this will save our Agency thousands of dollars annually, perhaps more. I'm certain there are several other publication-types that are completely mis-targeting US gov't employees, but are still disseminating them. This certainly is resulting in an incredible amount of waste, both fiscally and physically.
