It should be required that Congressmen and Senators be under the same exact Federal Benefits of all other Federal Employees...No more retirements unless they have served 20 years of Federal Service, make them pay into Social Security. They will receive the same pay raise as any other Federal Employee.
Go to a 10% Flat Tax, downsize IRS, saving taxpayer money, will encourage more buying in the public and create jobs.
The cost of purchasing GSA Vehicles has come to a point where it is more expensive for Federal Agencies to purchase and cheaper to purchase from local dealerships and manage their own vehicles. This would also help create jobs locally as well and would reduce the amount of personnel working for GSA to manage the federal vehicle fleet and help reduce labor costs as well.
My suggestion would be to convert the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps to civil service. The amount of cost to fund these positions as active duty military is costly and unnecessary and would be cheaper to fund as civil servants doing the same job they are currently doing.
