In 2010, the Social Security Administration processed over 18,000,000 Social Security cards. The majority of the cards were replacement cards because individuals misplaced or lost their original card. I am recommending that the Federal Government assess a nominal fee for this service. If the government charged a small fee of $5 per card in 2010, this would have created revenue of $90,000,000 for one service that this ...more »
