I have several ideas but here's just a few. Our printer alone prints out 30-50 pieces of paper per day that are either not ours or not significant. We have 450 printers in our VA medical center! I think that students who are recipients of federal dollars (as well as various forms of welfare) should be required to random drug testing. Lot of college students spending their college years in a drug induced haze while recieving federal grant or loan money. Same for welfare recipients in all the various forms.
For Federal needs based programs, such as VA Pension and SSI, or State programs funded in part with Federal dollars, require recipients to be tested regularly for illegal drug use and impose sanctions.
Many veterans NEED pain management. Others say they need the med and but selling the prescription for profit. Many also use illegal drugs as well. RAPID DRUG SCREENING would detect illegal drug use and also show if compliance with medications used for pain management, mental health, and ect. If we are going to take samples anyway, let's get the most out of the experience. Adding a diabetic screening could save future funds by preventing a serious condition from being untreated.
Why not make sure you have to be clean and sober to accept federally funded money?
Many employers require you take a drug test to work and earn your money.
