adjust drinking age/voting age to match

If a block of voters is incapable of using alcohol responsibly, what does that say about their leadership choices? Conversely, if younger voters are capable of chosing leadership and effecting legislation, shouldn't they have the same purchasing rights as other adults?

Stop Vote by Mail.

So states allow voting by mail and have removed the polling places. Make voting eclectic or stop using paper. People say voting by mail has increased the amount of people voting but if you can’t get off you conch and come to a polling place, you shouldn’t be voting. Have computer at the polling place, this would cut down on paper and ballet counters. You could know who won in a few minutes versa hour, or even days.

Let the Taxpayer decide where their $$$ are spent

I think in order to eliminate politicians' "sacred cows" and to neutralize the threat of constant earmarks, the tax payer should be allowed to determine - at least a percentage - where their tax money goes. Some value healthcare over others and more value national defense, etc. Well let the taxpayer put their money where they feel best. In the age of electronic voting you can pick your president but you can't determine ...more »

End Voting Assistance Program

Every Squadron in the Air Force, and I do not know to what extent other agencies are burdened, is required to select a member of their unit to spend man-hours representing a program which has been largely unchanged since its inception in 1986. Meanwhile the world and access to information has changed greatly in the last 25 years. A small group of individuals with a well designed/advertised web page, should be more than ...more »

Congress Voting Alternative

Permit congressman to utilize a televoting system (internet or phone based) that would not require them to travel to Washington. This would save on travel expenses and other operational costs involved with transporting government officials to the capitol.

SAVE Idea Voting

Ensure that the "voting" for SAVE ideas is conducted equitably and fair. For example, ensure that submitters can not vote for themselves, that votes can not be placed multiple times by the same individual, and that special-interest groups (that may have extensive resources and therefore many "voters") can not vote-out ideas that they are opposed to. Only this way will even the most "out of the box" ideas be given fair ...more »

idea clustering

Implement automatic clustering of ideas on this website, and allow voting on clusters instead of individual ideas. Also, allow users to indicate if they think an idea is incorrectly classified, and then try to reclassify those ideas that users generally agree do not fit well in their current clusters.
