Unemployment and overseas jobs

We are going to support our unemployed workers one way or another. Either we are going to give them good jobs or we are going to give them welfare payments. Most people would prefer to be working. During the recent economic downturn, millions of American workers have been receiving unemployment benefits for up to 99 weeks. It has become soul-crushingly difficult to find a job in America today, and we have developed ...more »

Standardize unemployment throughtout the US.

To receive umemployment checks you must be "actively" looking for a job. Though I do believe that unemployment benefits are a great thing in a time of need, I, along with most Americans, know several people who are on unemployment and do NOT search for jobs, leeching on government money and thoroughly enjoy it. My IDEA is to standardize umeployment. Make it last only six months as oposed to the 79 weeks (18 months) certains ...more »

USE UNEMPLOYED VETERANS (60,000)

Many veterans are returning home with physical limitations or returning home with no job to go to. Instead of using a contractor for our security jobs, use our vterans. Many veterans even with physical limitations could sit around and watch a camera for better security. This could save lots of money by doing away with the contractor and contracted employees, less unemployment benefits going out the door!

Jobs

When this country began, we created programs and benefits to help populate, fill out, and explore this great country, e.g. the Homestead Act, and associated Homestead Acts. In addition there are many laws protecting the labor, employment, and commerce of the U.S. I believe unemployment in the U.S. has more to do with complacency, and reluctance to relocate, than it has to do with "jobs Americans don't want to do." ...more »
