The current disability system rewards Veterans for being disabled. The more disabled a Veteran is - the more money the Veteran gets. The disability system should be based on rewarding Veterans for getting more ability. The disability system needs to work closer with the healthcare side - and ensure that recovery timelines are being met. If a Veteran doesn't make their appointment or doesn't follow their medical care ...more »
Currently a disabled Veteran can receive disability benefits from 3 agencies - VA, DOD, and Social Security. Need to overhaul the disability payment systems to ensure that the right amount of payment is provided which is difficult since we have 3 agencies responsible to address the payments for our veterans. Why not only 1 agency - the VA manage all veterans disability payments. This will ensure Veterans receive accurate ...more »
We should eliminate hanging the 500cc minibags of normal saline when infusing an IV antibiotic, for patients that receive IV antibiotics daily or one time a new 500cc bag of NS is hung and changed daily. On most occasions not even 10CC of NS is being used and the unused NS gets thrown away. We already flush the PIV and PICC before and after with either 3ml or 10ml of NS so why are we even hanging the minibags. Why ...more »

Why does a completely tax exempt organization voluntarily throw away billions of dollars by paying taxes on travel? I travel a lot for the Navy and detest that taxes for TDY travel expenses are charged to my government credit card. Though the Government Treasury will get the taxes back, for the Navy and the Program Office (PMA), those funds are lost. Those lost and unrecoverable funds, which can quickly add up to billions, ...more »
$255? Come on. This payment is nothing more than a nod to the past. Think about how much $ is spent from the moment the survivor 1st contacts SSA to when the check is cashed.
This is not a new social issue. Generations have had stable, non-traditional living arrangements. The Founding Fathers would want a tweak in federal law to promote efficiency, quality, simplicity, speed, & EQUITY. One simple change would put tens of thousands back into these households & the general economy. The IRS would feast on hundreds of thousands in “marriage penalties.” The welfare system would benefit by fewer ...more »
Create a new box just like the one already on the tax forms that allow individuals to contribute to the presidential reelection fund--the new box would be "debt elimiation". All monies going to this would be to reduce and eventually eliminate the debt.
