Federal Employee Video Testimony

Routinely the DOJ and US Attorneys Office will subpoena Federal employees to testify in cases outside of the employee's geographical work area. These cases can often be cross country in nature as currently my office on the West Coast is working to find funding to send an employee to the East Coast for under one hour of general background testimony. A cross country flight and hotel for less than one hour of general testimony.... more »

Consolidate DHS Seized Property Operations

Currently; Border Patrol, CBP, FPS, ICE, TSA and the US Coast Guard have their own facilities, policy, processes, and specialist personnel to handle seized property and contraband. By consolidating all of these facilities and processes into one DHS seized property system, cost savings and efficiency will occur. Why does ICE need a seized property vault in the same geographical location as CBP? Consolidate these facilities... more »

IRS Payment of E-Filed Returns

Currently IRS and the Federal Government are loosing as much $100 million or more a year from payment of fraudulently filed electronic returns. The problem seems to be that in an effort to quickly process the return, IRS pays any refund due before they compare it with any information they have available. Often paying someone who is not even the legitimate taxpayer. Recommend that IRS adjust their system so at the very... more »

Eliminate End of Year Spending

Eliminate End of year spending. Allow money to cross fiscal years. This would eliminate the need to do new Purchase orders every October 1 for contracts from the previous years. If money can flow across the FY then it has the ability to save the government time, money and energy. There should be an incentive to return any unused portion of an agencies budget to the treasury.

Eliminate Military Flyovers

Stop wasting money on military flyovers at sporting events. In this time of fiscal conservancy we need to be saving that money for a real need. Just so people can get excited about a sporting event is a waste of tax payer funds

Eliminate Tax Subsidies for Oil Companies

A 4 BILLION dollar a year savings according to the congress and the president. These companies do NOT need to be subsidized at the expense of Tax payers since they are bringing in enough profits to fully fund their companies.

Eliminate Farm Subsidies

Why should we pay someone NOT to farm? That makes no sense whatsoever. Let the market bear what the farmer earns. If the market is not there then I as a tax payer should not have to prop them up. Let them earn a living doing something else.

Eliminiate Congressional Retirements for less than 20 years serv

There is no excuse for paying any congress person a retirment if they have not been in office for at least 20 years. They should not get an inflated reitrement from the tax payers. If they want a retirement paid for by the tax payer then they have to earn it. it should not be given to them for serving 1 or 2 terms in office. If they don't make it to 20 years of service then apparently they weren't doing a very good... more »

Cut DoD Funding - Streamline it

The fact that DoD gets the majority of our funding in this country is sickening. We are the most advanced Military nation on earth yet we have no enemy to fight. Why are not downsizing and doing away with waste in the military? Cuts have to be made all across the board and so far this sacred cow is getting away with giving pay raises. Lets cut and start trimming more of this fat.

institute a LIGHTS OUT program.

In my building alone there are unused offices and rooms with lights on ALL day long. Why arne't these lights shut out? I'll walk by and flip them off only to return later in the day and they'll be burning brightly. Turn out the lights and start saving money. That's a very simple way to save the tax payers money.
