As we know, second-hand smoke is deadly carcinogen; people who smoke outside, then come inside the workplace, are walking, breathing out carcinogen toxic agents within 50 - 100 feet, which ultimately kill their colleagues within a few years depending on their immune system. This impacts rate of attrition, retention of experienced employees; the cost of replacing such, who get sick, die at an early age or retire early, ...more »

Why not give all Federal Employees the option to take up to 2 Furlough days per month using standard vacation scheduling calendars.
Allowing funeral homes to submit 721 - Report of Death by Funeral Director - data electronically through an automated gateway would save hundreds of hours of employee time each year and store records that currently are not consistently documented from office to office. Further, each office spends hundreds of dollars each year purchasing supplies from retail suppliers. By establishing a central division of GSA dedicated ...more »
Eliminate/reduce Federal Funding for Child Support Enforcement Agencies and let the courts handle collections. All states get funding based on how much they collect. But, most collect far more than it cost to opearate. That gives states excess money to spend elsewhere. If courts having jurisdiction over the case handle the collections as well, these agencies wouldn't be needed. Billions of taxpayer dollars are spent ...more »
stop the money being spent to illeagals in The United States. It would be cheaper to put up barriers and keep them out than to pay for them their families to live here for free. You could also create jobs for Americans at the same time.
Congress gets the same benefits, and lack there of, as other federal employees. Pay freezes and furloughs affect Congress if they wish to pass it for everyone else. Same healthcare as everyone else. Same retirement plans as everyone else. If you aren’t retiring then you need to get another job. No more voting on their own pay and pay raises. If we don’t get one, you don’t get one. Anything outside of work ...more »
Hire teams of auditors, lawyers and business analysts to audit, review and overhaul every agency in regards to operations and regulations with a view towards efficiency and looking to eliminate or reduce agencies or services and to contract out as many services as would be advisable.
The city that I am from, the high school I somewhat recently graduated from is a shame/sham. As many people I know that live in 'housing' because they were too 'whatever' to do something with their lives. Don't cut social security from those who worked for it, and education for those who strive to suceed. Rather make it more appetizing, more so survival, for citizens to succeed. Perhaps make birth control mandatory(and ...more »
My idea is simple and will involve the help of all U.S. Citizens who can. First I say for $1 a day we can help lower the defecit. $2 a day if it is possible. Anually this may not create a huge dent but in time we can get it down. For those who make well over minimum wage, such as politicians, entertainers, fortunate entreprenuers, perhaps they could fork up a little more. If you do the math this is extremely reasonable ...more »
Giving fedearl employees three hundred dollars to five hundred dollars a year for uniforms is way to high. Every year DHS, CBP employees get five hundred dollars for uniforms and must spend it all or lose it. Then we end up buying things we don't even need like twenty caps, or five pairs of pants. Even when the item arrives they usually don't fit and must returned because we can't try them on. Rather we should be given ...more »
Companies can be given tax credits for hiring people who receive unemployment benefits. This will give them an incentive to hire, reduce the number of individuals on unemployment, provide new tax payers (which will increase tax revenue) and reduce the debt. It would be a win-win situation.
Being stationed at an Air Force base, every Friday is considered a fly day where you have many planes conducting "touch-and-goes". A lot of times these are conducted so the pilots can get flyer time/minutes. I personally feel that this wastes a great amount of fuel. A lot of the armed forces waste a great amount of fuel. Why not have fly days ever other week, or every two weeks to help cut down on fuel costs. A pilot ...more »
