Federal workers should be hired for a contracted period, 3-4 years. Salaries and step increases could remain as the are today. Hiring, promotion, bonuses would continue as they are currently. Stop buying new furniture and tvs

My idea is that Director Berry should hold managers accountable for buying useless new furniture, flat screen tvs for lobbies and managers offices, and computerized screens for hallways to tell people where managers are located (6th floor TRB OPM HQ location). There is no money for bonuses, raises, etc. but we can buy USELESS TVs for managers that IN NO WAY need to see what is going on on CSPAN?? And furniture that no ...more »

Criminal Justice Information System Assistant

When I was an investigative Assistant I had a tool available to me that is used by all of the courts in the state. The tool was called the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). CJIS allowed for me to remotely access all criminal/traffic court records for my entire state. This idea involves situations in which two employees, not able to work full time within the government can pair up and work half time yet being paid one salary. This could open jobs for that population of mothers, care givers, and civilians unable to carry a full time job. Many agencies are already employing video-conferencing technologies; however, they are slow to adopt new programs.
