There has got to be a linked up connection with Social Security and FTC, live. When identity theives take someone's ssn, there has got to be a live alert connected to the social security numbers such as a passcode, they can call in and block access to their number being used for anything from the point of losing their number/card/or victim of a crime. Stop using the IRS to decide if a church is a Church

Currently the arbiter of whether a religious group a church, a ministry, or a cult like pyramid scheme is the IRS. Rather than use federal resources chasing this goose, have churches conform to state corperate regulations. This would go a long when straightening tax questions for religious leaders too.

A Federal piece of the Action

Many states and territories are jumping onto the gambling band wagon. We have multistate lotteries and riverboat casinos. This multi-billion dollar business has no federal oversight. however, gambling addiction, homelessness nad alcoholism caused by gambling culture is impacting federal programs. Consider a federal license or usage tax.

Turn the SARC into an ARC

Depending on your count (some are special and may end), there are between 60 and 70 Offices of Inspector General throughout the Federal Government. Eliminate Federal Blue Pages Listings

Blue pages of paper phone books list telephone numbers for Federal, State and local agencies and services. Federal agencies actually pay to list this contact information. Wikipedia states that Federal agencies no longer do this – not true. For those Federal agencies that still pay for these listings, simply stop. Many things have become superfluous because of the Internet, phone books included.

Repeal the Fly America Act

The Fly America Act increases costs and time, and when you’re not even flying America, you pay a premium to say you are. There was probably a valid reason to have this act when it was passed over 30 years ago, but today, Federal travelers pay a premium even when they are not flying on a U.S. Flag Carrier (i.e., when there is a code share).
