Waste of money on big screen tvs.

Every time I go into any medical facility or pretty much any office I see big flat screens with "sign in" scrolling on it. What happened to good old dry eraser boards? Not only that, but there is a flat screen every 10 feet with some random useless information that could just be written on a dry erase board. Save money and have more regulation on the people that are in charge of ordering items.

Less Waste More Budgeting

A great deal of money is being wasted in areas that are not as necessary as others. We need to find an easier way to channel money from one account to the next. As stated by a fellow community member, there is a mass spending every year on things we do not necessarily need just so we do not give them money back. Instead of handing the money back or completely spending it on random things, we can transfer the account ...more »

Save Water

The DoD/USGOV would save incredible amounts of water and money by simply mandating that all installations install rain sensors in the base sprinkler systems. I have seen base sprinkler systems watering the grass during rain storms on almost every base I have served. This would save water and money, and would be a great PR "Green Initiative".

End of year spending (Revised)

Cut every government agencies budget 10% except for the VA, DoD and Law Enforcement. This will force leaders to tighten the belt. This would save Billions a year Then at the end of the fiscal year instead of spend it or lose it the left over money can be added to the next year budget. The end of the fiscal year causes agencies to waste money. This can also help with saving money for long term projects. Office supplies ...more »

Bonus Money

No bonuses should be paid to employees working for congress and senate. When we have citizens in this country that need work and are losing their homes to foreclosure we all need to make sacrifices. People during WWII rationed so can legislation. I would even go as far as saying no bonus money for any government employees for 2 years.
