END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP!!

This is an idea from the 1800s that anyone born on United States soil is automatically a citizen. Other countries do not do this! You have to be born of a citizen to be a citizen. I think ending this practice will basically solve one of the biggest immigration issues we have. The practice of illegal imigrant coming here to have children (aka anchor babies) so that they can stay in this country. Just something to think ...more »

Deny SS Disability to arriving immigrants.

SS disabilty is being collected by new immigrants effective the day they arrive in the USA. Disability benifits should be restricted to Citizens and Permenant Residents who have worked and payed ito the SS system. Paying arriving immigrants (usually DV1 immigrants) disability without ever having worked in the USA is only draining the available pool of money that should go to people who have worked and paid into the ...more »

cutting down on EEO complaints

One way to cut down on EEO complaints is to ensure that those supervisors and managers who have had mulitiple viable complaints filed against them are removed or terminated from their current job. Why are the same managers who have received mulitple complaints of discrimination or unfair hiring practices being allowed to continue in their present postion and in some cases promoted. Save yourself from a lawsuit, and ...more »

Criminalize sale of food stamps

There are various examples of individuals taking the food stamps and selling them at 1/2 the value (or less), in order for them to use the cash for other uses. There should also be an audit system to ensure people are spending this given resource properly. Currently there is no way to audit spending. I have been asked several times in Baltimore city grocery stores by people to buy food stamps, or they offer to pay for ...more »

Put an end to "use it or lose it funding"

All federal agencies I've been involved with go through the same thing at the end of every fiscal year - a huge spending spree, many times on items not needed, to spend down money before it is swept away. A big reason for this is fear that the budget requests for the following year may not be approved if the agency did not spend it's entire budget in the current year. This is wasteful spending of money. The so called ...more »

get un/under-employed working to increase the tax base

Save money by paying down the debt, and don't let default happen (or else interest rates rise, and the US debt will crush us!). The equation is taxes on income are source of funding for Govt. Currently govt is working on the wrong part by thinking to reduce Soc Sec, Medicaid, which help people, while ignoring the fact that TWENTYFIVE PERCENT of workers are UN/UNDER-EMPLOYED!! (9% unemployed, 17% underemployed = 26%) Now ...more »

Stop SSI benefits to convicted smugglers

Seems simple. Stop giving SSI checks to convicted smugglers. Unfortunately, it is not that simple. We apprehended and convicted an alien smuggler and also encountered his SSI check stubs as well as a recent receipt for $2,000+ wheels and tires for his car. We contacted SSI to cancel the SSI checks. They advised that if we provided proof that the subject was incarcerated, they would stop the SSI payments during his ...more »

Skill Database for Agencies

My idea is to create an Government skill and/or Project database for use for internal agencey projects. What problem are you trying to solve? At any given moment each agency has over a hundred individual internal projects going on. To get these completed in most cases offices solely use talent within their office. I propose that we create either a talent pool database that associates skills with each divisions employee ...more »

Social Security Reform

You know what you have to do to ensure Social Security will be able to continue. First, STOP borrowing from it! Second, make all wages subject to social security tax. I pay social security tax on all my income. Why shouldn't Bill Gates, or our senators, or even the President have to? Just because you're wealthy doesn't mean you should just be able to pay this tax on a small portion of your income. Third, increase ...more »
