Congress shall pass no law that does not apply to all.

No more exceptions. Congress should pass legislation that prevents them from passing any law that does not apply to themselves. They should not have special treatment on medical, retirement, or anything that the citizens of this country do not also have or are prevented from having. If they fail to pass a budget in 90 days, they will not collect retirement, and will be subject to recall. This saves considerable money ...more »

Eliminiate Congressional Retirements for less than 20 years serv

There is no excuse for paying any congress person a retirment if they have not been in office for at least 20 years. They should not get an inflated reitrement from the tax payers. If they want a retirement paid for by the tax payer then they have to earn it. it should not be given to them for serving 1 or 2 terms in office. If they don't make it to 20 years of service then apparently they weren't doing a very good ...more »

Eliminate congressional staff bonuses

Since congress wants to cut off all pay raises and bonuses for government employees then perhaps they should have to do the same for their own staffers. I read in the paper that most congressional staffers got an 8% bonus this year while the rest of us are going to be capped at 1%. Why the discrepancy? Let that money go back to the treasury to pay down the debt.

When on welfare have the people sign a contract.

It is not the governments responcibility to pay for children when people are having them when they are in a situation where they can not afford them in the first place. Have those who are on welfare sign a contract stating they will not have anymore children then what they have. And if they have kids while on welfare they lose the check they are getting and can not get welfare again.

Election Day a National Federal Holiday

The USA is a Republic. However, on Election Day the citizens of this country have to find time before or after work in order to exercise their right to vote. Citizen’s work schedules may make it difficult to near impossible for them to make it to polling stations during the specified voting times, and missing work to vote is oftentimes frowned upon by employers (not openly, of course) . Shouldn’t something that is ...more »

Make Telework Mandatory

Make Telework mandatory for all workers who have the cability work remotely. This will eliminate the need for a workspace, eliminates the need for a phone, a desk, a chair, lights, maintenance, overcrowded office space. Government needs to use Technology and let that technology work smarter and cheaper for the tax payer. I could work from home every day, I have a home computer and a telephone. It's all I need to do ...more »

CONGRESS Should be in a Virtual environment; SAVE on commuting

A lot of tax dollars are spent on funding trips (lodging, private planes, cars, meals) for "the representatives of the people"; Congress. Instead of members of Congress going to Washington for three days a week, why not devise a system that will allow them to submit their arguments and vote from their local offices in their States. I know that tradition dictates that they should come together and have a "meeting of the ...more »

Children of Illegal Aliens No Longer Automatically US Citizens

Change the law so that children born in the U.S. are only granted U.S. citizenship if their parents are US citizens or legal residents. This would end the rampant number of illegals coming to the US just so their child can be born a US citizen. If the parents are not legally in the US, the children are not automatically granted US citizenship. This would save the federal government and local jurisdictions billions ...more »
