REVISE government law on having to spending Dept budget

If the Government would eliminate ALL GOVERNMENT Departments on having to spend thier alotted budgets this would save Billions of dollars and would not lead to frivilous spending to ensure they get the same amount for the upcoming year.

Elect Ron Paul

Elect a leader that will support a balanced budget amendment, end the "Drug War" and bring home our troops including closing foreign military bases. Savings in the trillions of dollars.

Lead by Example

Our President, Congressmen and Senators are in the news daily stating that we all need to make cuts in order for this country to survive. People will be more inclined to do this if our leaders showed the same restraint in their public and personnel lives. Lead by example and you might be surprised how many "ordinary" citizens are willing to do the same!

Create a 8 Year (1Term) for President

The president will have 8 years to get his or her agenda completed. The president will not have to start campaining half way through the first term since they know they will not be reelected. This would save millions in election costs. Every 24 years we would have three elections instead of 6.

1. MORE FEDERAL EMPLOYEES, LESS CONTRACTORS.

Have federal employees perform more work functions than contractors. While it is true in these challenging economic times that fair compensation must be granted in order to retain a high-quality workforce, there seems to be a disparity between contractor and federal employees. Even federal employees can retire and come back as contractors, making more money with less responsibility. If these individuals are the right ...more »

SHARED DOCUMENTS

The best idea I can think of would be to implement an internet shared drive between all of the agencies. Only information that needs to be shared on there will be posted, with access given to only those requested by the creator and modifying availability only allowed to a certain few. By utilizing the internet as storage for documents, we will no longer have to use burn bags and we will greatly reduce our storage costs. ...more »

"Holiday Trees and Floral Arrangements" pare it down, folks

Really, do I want a pay freeze, then watch hundreds of thousands of dollars in fabulous floral arrangements and holiday trees stuffed to the brim in the White House? Fresh flowers all over the Executive mansion, when all my utility bills are higher and my take-home pay keeps getting lower? Really?

Lights Out Nights & weekends

I had read in the paper one day that we spend alot of money on electric bills by keeping the lights on during the weekends. Why is no one is working! If an employee does have to work on the weekends then when he/she leaves turn off all the days in the area. And then after the cleaning people are done, have buidling sercurity go around and turn off all of the days. I mean when you leave the house in the mornings to ...more »

Hire grumpy old codgers to manage press briefings

Instead of high-priced, highly-trained public information officers, hire dirt-cheap, grouchy old codgers, coots, and old farts to conduct press meetings. Invasive press questions can be quickly dismissed with a signature "why you ... in my day we didn't ask questions about the House Foreign Affairs Committee, we just ignored them, like you should be doing!" Then the old gentleman could make some meaningless witticism ...more »

Website Security

The registration process for this website is not secure. This should be a secure website. Userids and passwords should not be transmitted in the clear. There is a high probability that some government employees may register using a password that is also valid on a government system and then that system could be hacked. My suggestion is that whitehouse.gov, as the agency running this idea process should secure the website ...more »
