Use transmission line easements to locate solar panels and wind

There are a number of transmission line easements that cross federally owned lands. Conceivably both solar panels and wind turbines could occupy these easements along with the transmission towers and generate electricity that would be carried by connections to one or more dedicated lines along the transmission pathway. This dedicated line would feed power transformers or substations and become a part of the electrical grid without having to build a separate infrastructure including the purchase or lease of dedicated land usage for solar and wind power transmission.
