Stop preventing Mississippi River from meandering and flooding

Holding the Mississippi in its banks unnaturally is destroying the river system and will only bring more catastrophic flooding in the future.

 

Large rivers were never meant to stay in one place and the results of this hubris is illustrated in the floods of 2011 and in the Katrina disaster.
