SSI for families should have a cap. A family with four people on SSI, Medicaid, Food Stamps and Section 8 housing, is making what amount to a $70,000/ year tax free income. We need to revamp SSI, I don't say abolish it; but if there are four people in a household, why should each of them receive $674? Why not put it on a sliding scale? I am tired of seeing my tax dollars going to people who are scaming the system saying that all of their children have ADD or ADHD. Does this mean they should get money or we should require their parents to spend more time with them and help them in their studies and behavior?
