Telecommuting - Costs for facilities could be greatly reduced by only having those essential to be at a federal building. Most people could work out of their homes with a telephone, laptop and printer. This would also decrease and reduce commuting costs, the carbon foot print and give employees the ability to work out of their home. Employees could attend critical meetings, conduct field work out of their homes and still maintain efficiency, productivity. Morale benefits: greater flexibility to meet family needs and still meet organizational goals and objectives. If only 5-10 employees/office nationwide would do this what savings of taxes that would be.
