The food stamp program needs to be reformed like the WIC program. Recently I was at the grocery store, the person in front had a rounded up buggy full of junk food and paid with food stamps. They should buy food that are nutritional like milk, cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables, etc. They should not be able to go into a take out pizza joint get a $20 pizza just because it is not cooked on site. Taxpayers are all tighten their budgets by not eating out as much and watching what they buy at the grocery store, cooking more. This will help improve the public image of the food stamp program plus it will save on the cost of their medical care due to the fact they are eating healthly foods. The majority on food stamps are also on public assistance for their health care thus the savings to taxpapers.
