Financial Reform

Fiscally Friendly Fema

I think that the government should start a federal home owner's insurance agency. This insurance could be mandated to those who have government backed loans. This will ensure that the government's investment as well as the home owner is protected. This would also produce jobs and the premiums would fund those who lose their home in disasters and other claim related events. Also, the profits could be used to reduce the deficit and fund other Fema projects. Eventually, the insurance program could be offered to those who hold other loans, not backed by the government as a viable option to the private insurance companies. This may even help those companies offer better service, due to the competition.
