Every two weeks, NEA employees must fill out a paper time sheet. This sheet must then be signed by the employee, the timekeeper, and the supervisor. Same thing with a leave slip for vacation or sick days. It's ridiculous! It's a total waste of paper and manpower. This should all be done electronically.
Every two weeks, I also receive a pay stub from the Department of Agriculture. Again, these should all be online -- it's a total waste of paper and postage.
I envision one central system where employees can log labor hours, sick, comp time, etc. and be able to access/print their pay history as needed. It's embarrassing that the federal government still relies on this arcane system.
