Most of the printers are set to single-sided copies, and the color printers default to color copies. Much of what is printed includes work in draft form or information for reference that may not need to be in single page or color format, but ends up being printed as such because it is the default option once you press "print." We could save on paper (financially and environmentally), and reduce the cost of expensive color ink, by setting the default options of all printers to double-sided, black ink copies. Whenever single-sided and/or color copies are needed, the person can "opt in" by selecting these preferences in the printer menu.
